In what felt more like summer than winter, the sun shone bright for the annual XC relays. Team AE filled 8 teams in the 2019 event across mens, women’s and the junior divisions.
The team took home lots of bling with gold medals going to the Women’s 40 plus team, silver medal winning teams were the Women’s 30 plus and Men’s 50 plus, with bronze medals going to the Men’s 30 and 40 plus teams.
A special mention to our juniors members who are growing in numbers. This year the club had a boys under 12 team who finished a galant 12th position with most of the team still qualifying for the under 10 division. Also congratulations to Ruby Madden who at only 15 raced in the Open Women’s team and ran the fastest ladies time of the day. A talent to watch.
