February 2019 Results Wrap Up

A very big month of racing for team AE with the stand out pattern over the month was the number of debutants across a range of events.  This is a credit to the club which promotes and supports athletes across all abilities to get out and try a variety of events which was evident in February across both our junior and senior athletes.

The NSW junior championships were held at Homebush with a number of new runners competing for AE plus strong results from club regulars Ruby Madden (1500m – 4.51) and Jemima Keay Doak (Javelin – 32.85 & Shot Put – 11.09).  Congratulations to all juniors who competed and good luck to those moving onto the National Championships.

A highlight event for AE in February was the ANSW 5000m championships.  The club had 5 runners across both male and female who stepped onto the track for the first time over the 5000m and finished in incredible times.  In humid racing conditions Stephanie Crossley ran a very strong race for a new pb to finish in 19.20 and Karl Baddeley broke another pb with a 16.32.50.
