A beautiful winter day greeted the Athletics East competitors who made the trip out of Sydney to Willandra near Nowra for the 2025 NSW Cross Country Championships.
Unfortunately, several last minute cases of injury and illness meant that we could not field teams as planned, but seven runners made the start (and finish!) lines across distances of 6km (50+ women), 8km (50+ men) and 10km (Open – 49y men and women).
Podium finishes were achieved for Rona Macniven (1st 40-44y), Rebecca Holmes (2nd 50-54y) and Jackie Wright (3rd 55-59y).
