Epic Treloar Shield Final Result. In both the 35-49 and over 50 divisions AE was locked in a 3 team battle to achieve a coveted 3rd place. No quarter was asked or given as each of the 17 events were contested in hot 30deg+ conditions.
All teams meant business and this was amply shown by the strength of all teams in all events. Both AE teams committed huge efforts which meant the team positions were only decided close or even after the final event with AE finishing 4th in both divisions.
All efforts were huge and it’s hard to single out names so I won’t try, instead here is the roll call of the Legends 35-49:

Jimmy Costello – The man who ‘Has everything except speed’ ripped around the 400 like he was 18 again then followed with a 3rd in the 1500.
Dan – a calf injury ruled out any running events but did not stop him from doing the Javelin, Shot, High Jump setting PB’s in all.
